Purpose of the Position: Sourcing and purchasing timber.

Key Responsibilities:

• Purchase timber in the necessary quantity and quality.
• Purchase of recycling materials.
• Identify and build relationships with new and existing timber suppliers.
• Negotiate best conditions for the company and prepare contracts.
• Ensure non-criminal origin of timber and supplier reliability.
• Conduct market research to monitor timber prices and trends.
• Prepare procurement reports and maintain documentation.
• Ensure procurement complies with company and regulatory policies.
• Prepare claims and resolve issues related to supplier non-compliance or contract violations.
• Coordinate timber delivery in collaboration with logistics company.
• Participate in monthly stock-taking.

Requirements:

• University degree in forestry or wood processing.
• Minimum 3 years in timber buying or forestry-related fields.
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for timber procurement, market dynamics, pricing strategies, and timber classification.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and people management skills.
• English – B1 is a plus. PC literacy: MS Office.
