Purpose of the Position: To ensure efficient operation, maintenance, and modernization of mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee efficient operation of all mechanical equipment.
• Implement regular maintenance schedules to prevent breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly.
• Organize and supervise all repair activities for machinery and equipment.
• Manage equipment improvement and replacement to improve performance.
• Ensure proper documentation of maintenance and repair activities.
• Order spare parts and consumables.
• Optimize the use of materials and resources during repairs and maintenance.
• Develop and implement strategies to lower maintenance costs.
• Minimize unplanned equipment downtime to ensure smooth operations.
• Participate in the installation and setup of new production equipment.
• Lead and train mechanics team, including recruitment, appraisals and staff development initiatives.
• Ensure labour safety, fire safety and risk management standards.

Requirements:

• Higher technical / mechanical education.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in technical project management, allocation of recourses.
• Experience in operating high-powered energy plants and large size industrial installations, equipped with hydraulic and pneumatic systems with high automation level.
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical systems, preventive maintenance, and repair methodologies.
• Familiarity with production technologies in the wood industry is a plus.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• English – B2 is a plus.
